Monthly pool service pricing
Royal Pool Pros runs two monthly plans in Madison, MS and across the Jackson metro. Weekly service is four visits a month for $225. Bi-weekly service is two visits a month for $150. Both plans carry a six-month minimum, which covers one full swim season and the pollen and storm months when a pool actually needs the visits, not just the easy stretches.
New customers get 50% off the first month's labor. That works out to about $112.50 for the first month of weekly service and about $75 for the first month of bi-weekly. The discount is on labor only. Chemicals are never discounted, on the first visit or any visit after it, because they're billed at our cost with no markup from day one.
Chemicals go on the invoice based on what the pool actually used that visit: chlorine, acid, stabilizer, whatever the test calls for. We don't charge a flat chemical fee and guess high. Every reading and every dose is logged on your visit report, so you can check the invoice against the water yourself.
What you're actually paying for
$225 a month can look high next to a cheaper monthly rate from a chemicals-only drop-by service. The difference is what happens during the fifteen minutes someone is actually at your pool. A chemicals-only visit pulls up, reads the water with a test strip, pours in some chlorine, and leaves. Nobody gets in the water with a vacuum head. Nobody picks up a brush. The skimmer basket and the pump basket don't get opened.
That skipped work doesn't go away, it sinks. Leaves and pollen that never get skimmed settle on the floor, decay, and feed algae between visits. A skimmer basket packed with debris chokes circulation, so the chlorine that did get added has less moving water to work with. A pump basket left full can starve the pump and run it dry. None of that shows up on a quick chlorine strip, which is how a pool can read fine on paper and still be green by Thursday.
Every Royal Pool Pros visit includes a full hand vacuum of the floor. We do not rely on a robot cleaner running its own schedule and call that vacuuming. We brush the walls, steps and tile line so algae never gets a foothold, empty both baskets, test the full chemistry panel and balance it to the reading, check filter pressure, and blow off the deck. We don't leave a pool until it's actually clean, not until a quick reading says it should be.
- ■A chemicals-only drop-by: quick strip test, chemical added, no vacuum, no brushing, baskets left to fill
- ■A Royal Pool Pros visit: skim, brush walls/steps/tile line, empty skimmer and pump baskets, hand vacuum the floor, full chemistry panel, check filter pressure, blow off the deck
One-time visits and green pool recovery pricing
Not every pool needs a monthly plan right away. A one-time vacuum visit is $75 and covers a pool that's still mostly clear but has a floor covered in dirt, pollen or leaves the skimmer never caught. We hook up a manual vacuum, brush the walls and tile line, empty both baskets, check filter pressure, and test the water.
A pool you can't see the bottom of needs more than a $75 vacuum visit. Green-to-clean recovery is priced in blocks: a $350 minimum for a 2-hour block on a lightly to moderately green pool with some visibility, up to $500 for a 4-hour block on a dark green or black-water pool with heavy debris. We quote the block after seeing the pool or a clear photo, and chemicals during a recovery are billed at cost the same as any other visit.
Saltwater systems still need the same cleaning and balancing any pool needs. The cell makes chlorine. It doesn't brush a wall, vacuum a floor, or empty a basket. Saltwater system service, which covers pulling the cell, inspecting the plates for scale, and verifying the salt reading against the control box, is $95.
Why the price holds steady
Chemicals are never discounted, on any plan, ever. A company that discounts chemicals to win a bid has to make that margin back somewhere, and the usual place is the labor you can't see: no vacuum, a skipped brush pass, a basket left half full. Our chemical line item is exactly what your pool used that visit, logged on the report, so you can check it against the readings yourself.
Pool size, tree cover and the condition of the equipment can move a quote a little either way. A pool under heavy oak or pine cover in Madison or Jackson needs more skimming and basket emptying than an open-lot pool in a newer Gluckstadt subdivision. That's the only thing that moves the number. The standard of work doesn't change pool to pool.

Every quote starts with a photo or a walk-through, not a guess. Tell us whether the water is clear or green, roughly how big the pool is, and whether you want weekly or bi-weekly visits. We'll send back a monthly number before we ever show up, and it covers everything on this page: the vacuum, the brushing, the baskets, the full chemistry panel, not just a chemical drop-by.

Questions we get
How much does pool cleaning cost per month in Madison, MS?+
Weekly service is $225 a month for four visits. Bi-weekly is $150 a month for two visits. Both carry a six-month minimum. New customers get 50% off the first month's labor, which is about $112.50 for weekly or $75 for bi-weekly. Chemicals are billed at cost on top and are never discounted.
Is chemical cost included?+
No. Chemicals are billed separately, at our cost with no markup, based on exactly what your pool used that visit. They're never discounted, including on the new-customer first-month offer, which applies to labor only.
Does a green pool cost more to clean?+
Yes. A green pool isn't a $75 vacuum visit, it's a green-to-clean recovery, priced in blocks: $350 minimum for a 2-hour block on a lightly green pool, up to $500 for a 4-hour block on a dark green or black-water pool with heavy debris. We quote the block after seeing the pool or a clear photo.
What's the difference between weekly and bi-weekly pricing?+
Weekly is $225 a month for four visits. Bi-weekly is $150 a month for two visits. Bi-weekly can work for a screened, shaded pool with a reliable automatic cleaner or a saltwater system. For an open pool near trees in Madison County from March through October, weekly is what keeps a pool from getting ahead of you.
What's included that a chemicals-only service skips?+
A hand vacuum of the floor every visit, not just a robot on its own schedule. Brushing the walls, steps and tile line. Emptying both the skimmer basket and the pump basket. A full chemistry panel, not a quick strip. A chemicals-only drop-by usually skips all of that and leaves once the chlorine is in, which is why a pool can test fine and still turn green between visits.
